Everyone has been talking about it forever but outside of stain-free clothes has anyone really done anything with it? Alex Zettl is one man who has. From the world’s first true nanopod – a fully functioning radio made from a single nanotube – to a scale that can be used to weigh individual atoms, to an injector that can administer molecules into a biological cell, to the first live-action movie of individual carbon atoms, to an ultra-high density memory chip that can last for a billion years, Zettl has broken more new ground than Donald Trump and scored countless records in the category of “world’s smallest.” Come hear him discuss his research and provide his insight into the future of nanoscience and how small can our technology really go.

Dinner will be buffet style and feature honey cilantro chicken breast with salsa fresca, bacon-wrapped meatloaf and tortellini pesto primavera, plus mixed-green salad, seasonal vegetables and garlic mashed potatoes. As befitting a microbrewery, there are many beers to choose from at the no-host bar – among other beverages.
