Field TripsNCSWA typically schedules several field trips a year. When a new trip is scheduled, we notify members on this website and by way of e-mail. On August 12, 2006 we'll take a field trip to Oakland's Chabot Space & Science Center. On April 23, a NCSWA field trip will venture to San Francisco's Crystal Springs Reservoir for a hike through a pristine watershed that has been off-limits to the public for a generation. On Saturday, October 2, 2005 NCSWA members did an overnight field trip to Big Sur's Big Creek Reserve. On Sunday, Feb. 8, 2005 NCSWAns enjoyed a guided tour of elephant seals at the height of pupping season at Año Nuevo State Preserve on the San Mateo Coast. On July 12, we took a field trip to the Marine Mammal Center in the Marin Headlands. On May 31, we took a field trip to Carmel Valley to see and learn about the University of California Natural Reserve System's Hastings Reserve. |
