Join us for a weekend at UC Berkeley’s Sagehen Creek Field Station, just north of Truckee in the Sierra Nevada, Aug. 1-3. Sagehen provides scientists, educators, and students access to a 9,000-acre experimental forest, fostering discovery and real-world solutions for environmental challenges. The weekend will include an introduction to the reserve by Tim Brown, field station director. Come explore and learn about the work of the reserve.
Lodging
Lodging is available either in cabins accommodating four to six people bunkhouse style, or camping in your own tent. Cabins are $100 per person for two nights and camping fees are $50 per person for two nights. We have tentatively reserved places for 10 people in cabins and 15 camping. We need to send final numbers or cancellations to the reserve by July 18.
Cancellations
If you need to cancel, we can issue a refund up to close of business July 17. After that we can only refund you if your spot is filled from the waitlist.
Other information
Bring your own food: shared kitchen facilities are available to all guests. The reserve does not assign bunk space for the cabins, we will work that out ourselves.
All guests must complete an individual supplemental application form that will be available 7 to 10 days before the trip. No smoking or tobacco products are allowed in the reserve. No pets allowed, service animals may be permitted with documentation.
