Join us to learn about how the Point Reyes National Seashore is changing as historic dairy ranches close following a legal settlement. How does the land change as cattle grazing ends? Can native coastal prairies be restored, and how?

Our day will begin at 10 a.m. at the Drakes Beach parking lot. From there we will carpool to the nearby D ranch, an abandoned dairy ranch, where we will hear from experts and explore the area. About noon, we will return to Drake’s beach for lunch and viewing elephant seals. After lunch, we hope to visit one of the few remaining areas of California coastal prairie grasslands. For the rest of the afternoon, explore this wild and beautiful coast.
